Sydney-based eyewear company Oscar Wylee has recently opened their first Melbourne store, designed by the local architecture & interior design practice DesignOffice. The store’s architecture reflects Oscar Wylee’s design traditions: the timeless and enduring values behind their frame design, delivering a space of calm respite required for selecting eyewear and conducting eye-exams.

This lovely family home was created by Finnish interior designer Anna Leena Karlsson. Located on a country pasture in Ekerö, Sweden, Annaleena’s Private Home is elegant and unique, full of personal touches that indicate a thoughtful design style.

Zebra is an electric boat with a classic style designed by Parisian industrial designer, Dimitri Bez. Inspired by the timeless 1947 Sea Maid Wooden Ski Boat, the Zebra is outfitted with a unique pattern of diagonally placed wood and chrome slats. The boat also features a high performance electric motor and a curved OLED touchscreen tablet for the dashboard.

Lance McGregor started his illustrious journey in Wellington, New Zealand.  After receiving his Industrial Design Degree, McGregor was employed by leading New Zealand innovators Fisher & Paykel.  After 3 years designing award winning refrigeration appliances and honing his craft, his ambition quickly took him to London, England, where he became Senior Designer .

BMW has been showing off its vision for the future of mobility for a while now, revealing numerous concept vehicles that are both extremely futuristic and somewhat insane. The company’s newest reveal, called the BMW Motorrad Concept Link, is an all-electric two-wheeler that looks like it would be more at home in Akira than on today’s city streets.

For the 90th anniversary of Cassina, Rizzoli publishes a book that illustrates the experience of a brand that has made international design history, while investigating the habitat of the future. With a preface by Barbara Lehmann that contextualizes the publication in the history of Cassina and the company’s ongoing research on interiors.

Veerle is certainly no stranger to reinvention or imagination, her life has spanned the creative fields: “I’m already 60 years old so I have a bit of a past!” Veerle began her career trajectory as the only woman studying architecture in Ghent during the ’70s, a fact she mentions only in passing—more interested in discussing the practical side of her working life.
