AJN is currently developing the project of the Louvre Abu Dhabi located on Saaydiyat Island. This district includes four other main museums: The National Museum Sheikh Ayed, The Contemporary Art Museum (Guggenheim), a Live Arts Center and a Maritime Museum.

For 16 days Italy’s Lake Iseo will be reimagined. 100,000 square meters of shimmering yellow fabric, carried by a modular floating dock system of 220,000 high-density poly-ethylene cubes, will undulate with the movement of the waves as The Floating Piers rise just above the surface of the water.

OMA’s restoration of the 16th Century Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice is complete. Commissioned by the Benetton family in 2009 to transform the 9,000m2 building into a department store.

The project title Darzanà means dockyard and it is a hybrid word, like the Turkish word tersane and the Italian word arsenale. These words are derived or distorted from the same root, the Arabic dara’s-sina’a (place of industry).
