Italian architect Piero Lissoni has created a modular sofa system for B&B Italia, which can be reconfigured with 84 different components. Presented at this year's Salone Del Mobile furniture fair in Milan, the Dock seating system is designed so that it can be assembled in numerous variations to suit different people's needs.

Pierre Jeanneret’s furniture has been an important fixture of the Cassina collection for many years, part of the ranges he developed in collaboration with his cousin Le Corbusier and designer Charlotte Perriand. Their interest in the heritage of the furniture Jeanneret designed for the Capitol Complex in Chandigarh arose from the Cassina’s need to complete its knowledge of the work of the three greats of Modernism: Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand

Brazilian firm Studio MK27 has renovated and enlarged a house designed by its founding partner in the early 2000s, which features white surfaces and huge windows that open to the garden. Totalling 700 square metres, the home features white surfaces, formal compositions, and a strong relationship between interior and exterior. The project garnered international attention and was nominated for a World Architecture Award in 2002.

The project was carried out by a multidisciplinary team including architecture practice François Chatillon, which specialises in revamping 20th-century buildings, and paint restorer Marie-Odile Hubert, who ensured that walls were recoloured in hues as close as possible to Le Corbusier's original palette. Italian furniture brand Cassina were also charged with restoring the apartment's furniture and the cow hide rug that features in the sitting area next to a black leather edition of Le Corbusier's signature LC2 lounge chair.

Designer Tristan Plessis and his StudioA/Tristan Plessis Studio took client Milk & Honey Group SA’s straightforward brief and translated it into his own version of edgy decadence. The dark colouring and the hard wood and marble are nicely softened by velvet seating and curved forms. The surprises in this space are the curving, beveled white ‘paneling’ that covers some of the walls and even the ceiling in one area by the bar, and the striped marble flooring that makes the bar-front area stand out.
