The opening of the Saint Jean Bar has introduced a little corner of Paris into the city of Berlin. Designed by the practice of Thilo Reich, this intimate social space was created around the character and appearance of the young French owner, in spite of a range of obstacles including limited funds and spatial and building constraints of the basement location.

Definitely a strong collection from Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren , the Dutch duo extraordinaire presented a black and white collection for Fall/Winter 2013 of less theatrical and more wearable creations.

STOLARNIA is a concept design, the sixth of a twelve piece collection of interiors entitled ‘XII’ by Karina Wiciak of Wamhouse. The name which means ‘Carpenter’s Shop’ in Polish refers to the inspiration of the piece, the Bory Tucholskie National Park, a forested area which the designer considers to represent the ultimate expression of carpentry.

In a long narrow space of just 65 sq.m. in Thessaloniki, the Cafe Bar RE designed by the practice of Architecture in Concept headed by Minas Kosmidis, invites the over 40s to take a trip down memory lane and the under 40s to enjoy a taste of what they had missed in the four decades between the 1950s to the 1980s.

The London based practice of Alexander Waterworth Interiors recently completed The Musket Room, a restaurant located in the popular Nolita neighbourhood of Manhattan. When creating a concept for an interior, Alexander Evangelou and James Waterworth, the innovative duo who make up the practice, enter into close collaboration with the client.

A design project with a difference is Surfer’s Home, a project close to the heart of Rhodes based architect and avid surfer who created a personal space which pays homage both to his craft and his hobby. There are no secrets in this tiny 28 m2 residence, on the contrary, the experiences and trips to distant oceans are all referenced within the design concept of this wonderful home.

Located on the south coast of England, Lighthouse 65 is a stunning contemporary residence designed by the Winchester based practice of AR Design Studio. Winner of the 2012 RIBA Downland Prize, it adheres to the design philosophy of Andy Ramus and his interpretation of eco-friendly, innovative architecture.
