It’s no secret that we have been following with fascination every spontaneous design project of Karina Wiciak, founder of the Polish practice of Wamhouse. Through the 12 part collection entitled ‘XII’, she has allowed her fantasy to run wild in the creation of these concept interiors.

A project undertaken by the practices of Pitsou Kedem Architects and Axelrod Architects, G House exceeds the accepted limits of a simple minimalist design. Constructed on a small plot in a suburb of Tel Aviv, Israel, the two level plus basement family home follows a horizontal framework punctuated by vertical and horizontal strips of glazing.

During the 2013 London Design Festival held between 14th - 22nd September, visitors to the London showroom of Established & Sons had the opportunity of seeing a visually spectacular installation created by the London based designer, Faye Toogood.

Another about turn from Tomas Maier, Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, as we saw in the runway show for the brand’s  Spring 2014 RTW collection. The pretty flowered prints of 2013 have vanished into thin air and in their place is a collection of voluminous silhouettes...

The mesmerizing subject of shadows, the fleeting glimpse of a transient form, created through the chance configuration of light and shade, has fascinated man throughout the ages. The world renowned self-taught Greek artist, Teodosio Sectio Aurea, has captured this phenomenon and made it his medium for the production of a series of artworks.

It’s not often that we hear of such a talented young individual, whose boundless energy and unbridled creativity constantly leads him down an exploratory road to a range of incredibly diverse ventures. 

There is nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread on a warm spring morning and the anticipation of enjoying a chunk of that crusty loaf spread with butter and fresh honey! Although the production of that beloved staple has been taken over by the method of mass production, in many countries, the tradition of the family bakery is still alive and well!
