When two cultures come together in harmonic fusion on an interior design project, amazing things can happen! We know from experience that the result will be anything but conventional, as proved by the renovation of this traditional residence by the shores of Lake Comabbio in Italy.

Located in Ramot Hashavim , a quiet suburb of Israel and designed by the Argentinian architect Nestor Sandbank, Cubes Villa is what we would call a contemporary jewel of architecture. Striking in its presence, combining the bold minimalism of its form with a seamless fusion of clean lines and curvilinear shapes... 

The lively downtown area of Kolonaki is famed for its all day eateries and all night fun, the choice of destinations, for either of these pursuits, is confounding to say the least! Our most recent discovery is a fresh food restaurant, with a visually unique interior of effortless elegance and powerful simplicity, designed by Divercity. 

On the coastal road by the Melkbosstrand beach, just 30 km from Cape Town, stands Melkbos House, a comfortable two level family residence designed by the practice of SAOTA. The weather beaten African coastline is the inspiration for this residence, expressed in the road facing screen wall, textured and untamed like its dynamic surroundings.

It’s no secret that we have been following with fascination every spontaneous design project of Karina Wiciak, founder of the Polish practice of Wamhouse. Through the 12 part collection entitled ‘XII’, she has allowed her fantasy to run wild in the creation of these concept interiors.

There is nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread on a warm spring morning and the anticipation of enjoying a chunk of that crusty loaf spread with butter and fresh honey! Although the production of that beloved staple has been taken over by the method of mass production, in many countries, the tradition of the family bakery is still alive and well!

It is in the north east city of Greece, Komotini, that architect Minas Kosmidis, chose to leave his design mark of stimulating vibrancy and electrifying playfulness, an element easily identified in all his projects. This time, it is the Away Café Bar that worked as a canvas for the architect’s inventive imagination, leaving us pleasantly astounded once again..!
