The Sekeping Kong Heng is the newest addition to the Sekeping brand of hotels and is located in the Old Town area of Ipoh, one of the largest cities in Malaysia. A renovation project undertaken by the practice of Seksan Design Architects, the work was carried out with great care to preserve the history of the space, a three storey neo-classical building, which refers to the heritage of the colonial era of the city.

The Chongqing Greenland Clubhouse designed by the Shanghai based practice of Pure Design was built to function as a sales and corporate space for a real estate company. Built on the side of a mountain, the structure follows the natural slope with a box like transparent base on the lower level and a magnificent origami like structured roof on the upper level.

You have given me a great group of questions and this, not unlike the others, is a very hard question to answer. Each shoot has it’s challenges and excitements so it is hard to rank which ones would be the most challenging and which ones would be the most exciting.

The Athens based practice of Pieris Architects were bestowed with the prestigious A’Design Award in the category ‘Architecture and the Built Environment’ for their outstanding design for a sustainable holiday retreat on the island of Santorini, aptly named ‘Volcano Residence’.

In the limited space of a small tool shed in the village of Mutxamel, Alicante in Spain, architect Sonia Miralles Mud created a delightful country house. Inspired by a nearby hill, she designed a small one bedroom home which became part of the rural landscape.

As part of a larger renovation program in the town of L’Aquila in Italy, part of the area which suffered extensive damage during the devastating earthquake of 2009, is the Palace of Labour, an architectural project, of geometrical but refined language, undertaken by Verona based architect, Alberto Apostoli.

Paris based designer Mathieu Lehanneur in collaboration with architect Ana Moussinet have designed the interior of a new cultural venue in Paris, Electric Paris. In a multi-purpose space of 1.000 sqm. facilities are in place to host a wide variety of diverse events from music to sports and art to fashion.
