The eponymous restaurant known for its top chef, Filippo la Mantia, is all about the tastes of Sicily. Architect Piero Lissoni has created a beautifully serene space which evokes the ambience of the island. It is here where the delicious Mediterranean tastes of Sicily can be enjoyed in such dishes as, sardine balls with Borage, sweet and sour pumpkin and pistachio veal chop with lemon sorbet. It comes as no surprise that this restaurant has earned a reputation as one of the top dining destinations in Milan.
The world renowned chef has now opened his own restaurant in Milan, under his own name. A casual, yet elegant interior is the design of architect Piero Lissoni, inspired by a comfortable home environment to produce an atmosphere in which to relax, listen to good music and enjoy a glass of wine with good company. Warm, sober hues with a touch of vintage where the familiar kitchen objects of the chef are exhibited, provide a backdrop for Filippo la Mantia to play the roles of both host and chef, allowing his food to take centre stage in a seasonal culinary experience.
