Located on the top floor of a magnificent Haussmannian building in the 16th arrondissement, this apartment had exceptional potential: generous volumes, a well-proportioned entrance gallery, natural light, and sweeping views of the sky and Parisian rooftops.
However, it had undergone a series of unfortunate modifications over the years. False ceilings had hidden the original plaster cornices, the air conditioning system was highly visible, and some areas were far too narrow for the level of sophistication expected.
We decided to start from scratch, guided by a clear and simple vision: pure lines, noble materials, and a sense of calm, ergonomic elegance. The goal was to design a refined living environment, harmonious and inviting—hallmarks of Véronique Cotrel’s approach to interior architecture, both in Paris and in New York.
