The Manzoni, Dixon’s first permanent space in continental Europe, will give the brand its own location in the city, allowing it to present products during the annual furniture fair without having to search for a temporary location every year.
In the spring of 2019, designer Tom Dixon transferred the HQ of the brand from London to Milan. Continuing the tried and true concept of his London HQ, his Milan showroom is also a restaurant.
The Manzoni is a 100 cover eatery located at 5 Via Manzoni in the heart of this bustling continental city.
Brazilian firm Studio MK27 has renovated and enlarged a house designed by its founding partner in the early 2000s, which features white surfaces and huge windows that open to the garden.
Totalling 700 square metres, the home features white surfaces, formal compositions, and a strong relationship between interior and exterior. The project garnered international attention and was nominated for a World Architecture Award in 2002.
In 2002 the founder of Studio MK27 Marco Kogan designed a home in Sao Paulo for a young professional family. The 700 sqm property with its stark contemporary design attracted global attention and was nominated for a World Architecture Award. Fast forward to now, the growing family found themselves limited in their space and purchased an adjoining lot and commissioned Studio MK27 to undertake the project of expanding their home to accommodate their family needs.
