The Dutch designer presented her latest collection, titled Hypnosis, on 1 July 2019 at Élysée Montmartre in Paris for the city’s Haute Couture fashion week. Comprised of 19 different, multilayered looks, Hypnosis aims to reflect “the beauty and complexity of our environment” by mimicking the delicate patterns and structures found in nature.
The Fall 2019 collection of Dutch couturier, Iris Van Herpen was shown at Elysee Montmartre in Paris for Haute Couture fashion week.
Entitled Hypnosis, inspiration was drawn from the kinetic sculptures of American artist, Anthony Howe.
An icon among icons, the Up armchair by B&B Italia is one of the most well-known and familiar pieces on the international design scene. Since its launch it became a symbol of Italian design as a well as an authentic cultural and political icon.
The famous Up5_6 armchair designed by Gaetano Pesce celebrates its first fifty years. On the occasion of Milan Design Week, B&B Italia pays tribute, in the brand’s showroom in Via Durini with the installation “Up50. Anatomy of an Icon”. Designed by studio Calvi Brambilla, the focal point of this impressive installation is the Special Edition in beige and petroleum-blue stripes, a pattern that was included in the original colour chart that currently covers the entire space in a spectacular way.
Stockholm-based Note Design Studio worked with the brand to design the colours and patterns of the material, and then designed the Milan installation to show some of the many ways it can be used. The result is a room filled with 24 towering columns, featuring colourful speckled surfaces and topped with an assortment of 3D shapes.
Note Design Studio has installed geometric totem poles inside a historic Milanese building to showcase the potential of Tarkett’s IQ Surface, a new material that can be continuously recycled. Located in Circolo Filologico for the duration of Milan design week, Formations is an exhibition of the latest product from vinyl flooring manufacturer Tarkett. IQ Surface is a durable material that can cover angular and curved forms. It is produced using recycled materials, and can be recycled by Tarkett when it is no longer in use. Formations is on show at Circolo Filologico until 14 April, as part of Milan design week. It is furnished with products by Magis.
