Balwyn House is the latest residential project completed by Melbourne-based Fiona Lynch Design Studio. The project is a new build for one of the Builders Lynch’s studio regularly works with, Damian & Sonia Baldi and their daughter, where the team at Fiona Lynch were commissioned to design the interiors.

OMA’s restoration of the 16th Century Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice is complete. Commissioned by the Benetton family in 2009 to transform the 9,000m2 building into a department store.

A country house gets new life by the renovation of the interiors and the expansion of the living space designed in the extension made by glass and corten steel. The new volume talks with the natural landscape through the wide windows.

Recently renovated by Robson Rak, The Toorak2 House is an existing 1983 mock-Georgian home. The client entertained the idea of building a new home on the site, but decided to give the designers the challenge of inserting a new interior into the existing building.

FGR Architects virtually created an entirely new house behind the period facade. The contemporary ‘addition’ includes generous glazing at both the ground and first floors to take advantage of the garden aspect and generous light. Pivotal to the design is a lap pool and the double height canopy that soars to 6.5 m in height.
