In the heart of Clapton, East London, you’ll find this sleek warehouse conversion from the architects at Sadie Snelson. Previously divided into separate small rooms that let in little natural light, the fresh open-plan update is dressed in black and creamy pale timber to create the ultimate photographer’s work and living space.

A project born from concepts of transparency and reflection where a product which is a symbol of Italian craftsmanship will be exhibited.

The apartment was designed by the duo Fanny Bauer Grung and David Lopez Quincoces that lead the interior projects of the office (founded by David 9 years ago). It was made for a young couple living in Rome who gained possession of a very different flat.

Wildly inventive, the Campana brothers, Humberto and Fernando, are the celebrated São Paulo design team who made the famous Banquete chair (2002), composed of stuffed toys, and then created its acclaimed opposite, the Favela armchair (2003), constructed of scraps of wood like the homemade shacks in Brazil’s slums.

The site lies at Agios Ioannis – Chania. Main goal of this project is the construction of a three-story residence, a house Inside the city that makes you feel that you are Outside in nature. This goal set the basic foundations for a design that lets the sound of rain, the first rays of the sun and the full moon of August inside the house.

Situated on the Costa Esmeralda, a stretch of coastline south of Buenos Aires, the sleek design fuses board-marked concrete with glass in what looks like a very contemporary take on Brutalism.
