Designed by Workroom and built by Agushi, the modern form of Kooyong House comprises a large white cement rendered box atop a ground-level glass & off–form concrete volume. The use of raw industrial materials like concrete and steel compliments luscious timber paneling and opulent stone surfaces, creating a warm and masculine ambience.

This unique 19th century Lion House is located in an exclusive Fulham terrace. The main body of the building and its rear wing are carefully extended towards the rear and side in accordance with the historical constraints imposed by its heritage context.

The site’s topography has a 20% slope, which means exactly 8 m difference between lowest and highest points. A 16 m square-shaped house was spotted in a single store above the inclined topography. In such a way that it results in two equal additional useful spaces
