An ‘inescapable’ 19th-century prison has been turned into Hotel Liberty – a contemporary retreat in the German city of Offenburg. Built in 1843 during the German industrial revolution, the old Offenburg prison was designed by Heinrich Hübsch to accommodate up to 40 prisoners, many of whom were freethinkers who took part in the failed Baden Revolution of 1848.

Located in a region known as the Portuguese Riviera in the west of Lisbon, this luxury residence named Wall House is set on the edge of the premier Oitavos Dunes Golf Course amongst natural sand dunes and pine trees within the Sintra Cascais National Park.

Casa Forment is a renovation to an existing home in Valencia, Spain. Designed by architecture firm Mano de Santo, also based in Valencia, the Casa Forment renovation expanded the home and fully renovated the interior and exterior.

This project, which consisted of the transformation of a cotton mill into a fantastic contemporary house-loft with an industrial character, leaves no one indifferent. It is located in Zurich, Switzerland and was designed by architectural firm Arcs Architekten.

Located in the port city of Valencia, on Spain’s south-eastern coast, lies the deceptively literal House on the Olive Trees. The residence was designed by the team at Gallardo Llopis Arquitectos, bringing forth a strong modernist identity through a relay of textures and sharp angles. In addition, of course, the imperative presence of unbothered middle-aged olive trees.

Located in the city of Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, Nravil Architects have developed White Line House with the main goal of not harming the beautiful natural landscape where the construction is situated, whilst also minimising the necessary excavations.

An atmospheric, bold and non-standard interior with a masculine vibe. The apartment is a studio comprised of 4 consequentially connected areas.The bedroom area has a separate bathtub, the bathroom is combined with a glass wardrobe, through which a single white wall of the living room could be seen, the kitchen goes with an open storage.
