Decades of Audi expertise gained in developing quattro models that resolutely hold the road even on snow and ice have just been invested in two skis rather than four wheels for the first time.

The pieces are coloured evenly or not coloured at all. The shading and dark parts are created by the laser cut line, as a straight line will create less dark areas then a crooked line. The dimensional pieces react to movement when handled and change accordingly like a living organism.

Joseph Walsh founded his studio in Cork in 1999. His experimentation with design and making began at an early age and he is self-taught. Over the years he has pushed the boundaries of working with wood resulting in a significant body of knowledge around the material and its potential.

Nendo assembled square planes to create a sense of motion in this series of objects. One part of the bookshelf is frozen in a tumbling cascade, creating variety in the way books can be stacked. The stool's twist endows it with rich visual play.

From 16 October 2011 to 4 March 2012, the Groninger Museum will present the exhibition entitled Studio Job & the Groninger Museum. The exhibition displays the world-famous designs of Studio Job, which consists of Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel.
