Paul Cocksedge Studio has been selected by 2011 Beijing Design Week and the First Beijing International Design Triennial to exhibit a major installation set to be a key highlight of the festival which this year features London as its guest city.

The project emerged out of The Oregon Manifest design challenge, and brings together a collaboration between a custom bike builder and a global design houses to rethink bicycle design for a new generation. Fuseproject partnered with local bike builder, Sycip, to create the ultimate utility bicycle.

The Groninger Museum presents the exhibition entitled Studio Job & the Groninger Museum. The exhibition displays the world-famous designs of Studio Job, which consists of Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel.

The 2011 MAS-Luxe was directed by the London Design Duo Ed Barber and Jay Osgerby to give some new interpretations to the famous “Harcourt” glass, an iconographic product of Baccarat, which celebrates its 170th anniversary in 2011.

There are surfaces in nature designed to beautifully deform, welcoming a change in volume or weight. When they do so, they reveal an even more beautiful transient appearance.

Tre di Una -“Three from One”- is family of chairs created with the components of a generic wooden one and plastic clay. Therein embodies the contrast of natural versus synthetic, machine-produced parts versus hand-made constructions.

Hailing from the career-making Design Academy in Eindhoven, Dutch designers Kiki van Eijk and Joost van Bleiswijk are the latest real-life couple to join forces in the studio for Bernhardt Design.
