Founded in 1996 by Luciano Giorgi, the Studio has been nominated several times for prestigious National prizes. their projects have been published in several national & international architectural magazines.

A couple of hours north of Tokyo lies Lake Chuzenji, a pristine and placid body of water rimmed by mountains. From the town of Chugushi on the lake’s eastern edge, a narrow shoreline road leads to the eighth-century Chuzenji Buddhist temple. Discreetly along the way is On the Water, an intricately crafted guest house by major Japanese firm Nikken Sekkei.

The pared down interiors by Belgian designer Marc Merckx are evidence of his constant search for the perfect balance between proportion, materials and space. His style may vary from a warm minimal to a simple classical, but his approach is fundamentally the same.

On the outskirts of Portugal’s Santiago do Cacém, admist the parched pastoral landscape of Alentjo sits a gleamingly white curved building designed by Atelier dos Remédios.

This project concerns the extension of an existing detached house. The plot is nestled in the mountains of Valtellina, on the weastern side of the bed of a small stream surrounded to the north and west by the typical terraced vineyards.

Ett Hem was a private residence built in 1910. The people who built it had a propensity for beauty, and they left their mark on this townhouse, situated in a peaceful, residential area of Stockholm. This Arts and Crafts building is a tranquil home away from home, steeped in the Scandinavian aesthetics where functionality meets beauty.
