The chapel of The Holy Cross is a timeless religious building, an interconnecting bridge between the past, the present and the future. It translates symbolism and millennia of tradition and belief into space with a materiality based on the simplicity and harmony of contemporary architecture.

Special Project Venediktov, has reorganized the space of an apartment inside a high-rise residential building to create a new home for a young family. The apartment is situated on the 30th floor of one of the highest buildings in Kiev; its panoramic windows open on a spectacular view of the city and the Dnieper River.

West Architecture’s first project was a suspended mezzanine in a living space, located in a former Methodist Church in Islington.  In 2014 the practice was approached by new owners to reinterpret the original project, namely refurbishing the main space and extending the roof to provide additional accommodation.

Designed by Icelandic design studio Dodlur as a cross between a hotel and a hostel, ODDSON accommodate up to 230 guests across a mixture of basic and luxury rooms arranged along curving hallways.

The narrow lot is developed with maximum cubature and utilization: on the very top, the living space with a view of the Rhine valley and the Drei Schwestern mountain range. The sleeping quarters are retracted, cross-shaped reduced to the private spaces.

KAAN Architecten has moved to a new office, marking a page-turn for the expanding architectural practice. The new location is in the heart of Rotterdam, situated along the Maas river, just a few meters from the iconic Erasmus bridge and the firm’s award-winning project Education Center at Erasmus Medical Center University.
