The Arch in Mandal by 3XN

In the picturesque town of Mandal, in the south of Norway, 3XN architects of Denmark have recently completed the new cultural centre for its 15.000 residents. Aptly names ‘The Arch’, due to the elegant curving lines of the roof which mirror the surrounding hills and the industrial heritage of a building, which once stood on the same spot.

El “B” by Selgascano

Designed by Madrid based architects Selgascano,  the El “B”  auditorium and performing arts complex located along the waterfront of Cartagena, Spain, was completed in late 2011. This  210m long low lying structure was inspired by the industrial heritage of the city and forms part of the transformation of the waterfront promenade.
