An Architect Gone Mad by Kazanjan

These surreal images of fantasy structures are not in fact photographs, but digital compositions which represent the art of Portland based Jim Kazanjian. He creates them by searching through thousands of random images, none of which were taken by him, and chooses objects, scenery and bits of buildings which he then uses to ‘construct’ his fantastic buildings.

Tomas Saraceno – 59 steps to be on air

Tomas Saraceno is an Argentinian artist well known for his extra large and often fun filled interactive installations. His current work refers to the creation of a functioning solar powered hot air balloon which he claims anyone can construct by using easily obtained materials and following his 59 steps as laid down in his list of instructions.
