Angra House is a sensitive renovation of a holiday residence originally designed by Fernando Peixoto and reimagined by Arthur Casas for a family of four. The project preserves the essence of the original architecture while opening the home to the surrounding landscape and the distant views of Ilha Grande through skylights, indoor gardens and green patios.

Accessed primarily by sea, the house is reached through a lush pathway designed by landscape architect Ricardo Cardim, reinforcing the connection between architecture and nature. Organized across five staggered levels that follow the natural terrain, the residence combines social, wellness and private spaces, including a pool, gourmet area, wine cellar, gym, sauna, rock-carved cinema and expansive indoor-outdoor living areas.

The material palette reflects the local environment through the use of natural stone, Accoya wood, ceramic tiles and tactile finishes such as raffia and wood. Interiors combine Brazilian craftsmanship with contemporary design pieces from Paola Lenti, B&B Italia, Lucas Recchia, Lattoog and Jorge Zalszupin, alongside custom furniture designed by Arthur Casas himself, including the Apache, Ayahuasca, Vieira Souto, Quilombo and Lurdes pieces.

At its core, Angra House is a refined tribute to the Brazilian landscape, blending comfort, privacy and understated luxury through an architecture deeply connected to nature.
