Funky Gourmet can be considered one of the best restaurants in Europe with just a two year presence. The restaurant is located in the center of Athens, and Chefs Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos are offering to their customers the ultimate gastronomic experience.
With the establishment of Funky Gourmet, Private Cheffing in 2007, Chefs Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos radically transformed the concept of catering into an haute cuisine experience. In 2008 they decided to establish their premises in a charming neoclassical building at the corner of Paramythias 13 and Salaminos, in the area of Keramikos, amidst various art galleries, theaters, neoclassical buildings and sophisticated lofts.
In 2009, the building underwent careful renovation in a minimalist architectural style to create a physical space of high aesthetics and an inviting environment for private cheffing events. In November 2009, Funky Gourmet opened its doors to its customers in its new function, The Restaurant.
In the warm and inviting environment of Funky Gourmet, the chefs offer their guests a carefully designed menu of a modern creative cuisine based on advanced culinary techniques and always featuring top quality seasonal ingredients.
The main entrance of the building, paved with the original marble floor, leads guests to the wood-paneled bar and art deco lounge, where they may enjoy a special cocktail as they browse through the menu and wine list. Adjacent to this area is a private dining room that can accommodate up to 14 people.
The staircase leads up to the restaurant's main dining area, a modern glass-enclosed space that can entertain up to 30 people.
The entire space is lit by the unique lighting fixtures of German sculptor Ingo Mauer while guests can take pleasure in the works of well-known contemporary artists featured throughout.
