The Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco, California, has acquired a spectacular exhibition in the form of a 10,000 sq.ft. interactive multimedia wall which simulates a continuous stream of flowing water.
The design agency for the Aquarium, Thinc, collaborated with architects, Urban A & O, to create the installation, designed with the help of digital media, the CATIA based parametric modelling software. The 39 tanks of the aquarium are integrated into the walls which, when touched, trigger media windows to open and impart visual or audio information in the most straightforward terms.
This unique exhibition encompases the most progressive forms of design and technology together with live exhibits and aims to educate visitors young and old, on the link between water and life, which makes our planet one of a kind.
