In September of this year, Michael Kors presented his Spring 2014 Collection at the Lincoln Centre in New York. Received by an enthusiastic audience, his range of clothes for men and women represented is unique vision of what constitutes a complete wardrobe for the well-dressed New Yorker, a classy contemporary look with a hint of mid-century glamour.
A number of pretty full skirted dresses in flower and leaf prints in backgrounds of blue, brown and green were all worn with his signature slim leather belt. Linen and fine gabardine for his androgynous male and female suits, slouchy wide leg pants in grey, beige and white and a wonderful shorts and playsuits with bra tops in a retro pin-up style. Crochet dresses, skirts and jackets, plain and glittered for evening wear alongside semi transparencies with demure high necklines. Tan leather and python skin played a major role in clothes and accessories with light tweed coats, a leather trench, mohair cardigans and fur wraps designed for chilly Spring evenings. The highly coordinated outfits with matching belts, platform soled sandals and bags of all shapes and sizes made for an incredibly wearable collection, a further confirmation of the ability of Michael Kors to dress and delight men women of all ages.
