Marios Schwab’s 2013 Resort collection contains several of the sensuous features seen and applauded in his previous collections.
The London based bi-cultural (Greek/Austrian) designer has once again delighted his followers with the semi-transparent layering of his sculptured dresses, in particular his line of evening dresses inspired by the garments work by screen idol, Marlene Dietrich.
His elegant separates of tailored pants and skirts teamed with cashmere knits with cutout shapes, exhibit a maturity beyond his years. Not surprisingly, as the son of a bra engineer, he understands the female form and this is expressed in his feminine body hugging and skimming designs. He once said, ‘Fashion is a way of expressing oneself by using the body as a canvas.’
