French-based boom-art, known for creating limited editions of skateboards, has collaborated with European manufacturer UWL Surfboards for a series of limited-edition surfboards. The set of two collectors items are handmade in France, made from polyester resin and hand shaped polyurethane foam, and is individually numbered out of an edition of only ten.
Boom-art and UWL drew their inspiration from European art history, ‘The Lady and The Unicorn’ — a series of six tapestries woven in Flanders from wool and silk, from designs drawn in Paris around 1500 — and ‘The Garden of Earthly Delight’ — a three-fold painting by the early Netherlandish master Hieronymus Bosch.
