The collaboration of British graphic artist collective, I Love Dust and Karl Lagerfeld, resulted in his latest collection of limited edition T-shirts. In addition, I Love Dust designed and executed the in-store graphics for his NYC and Florence stores as well as the planned London store.
The black and white designs on the t-shirts encapsulate the essence of Karl Lagerfeld, both in terms of his iconic attire and his outrageous quotes.
The understated rock style of Lagerfeld and the design aesthetics of I Love Dust is expressed in the bold murals on the walls of his stores. Every available surface of the Florence store was decorated over a period of 3 days and 3 nights when the graphic designers hand drew and painted the space and held live painting sessions for Lagerfeld’s famous party guests.
