This housing complex in the exclusive region of Kavouri is comprised of two structures, both of which face the sea. Containing 9 apartments built on different levels, each one enjoying its own entrance and private outdoor area, it offers a sense of privacy and seclusion usually found in a detached dwelling. The design of the buildings was synchronized with the landscaping and results in the harmonious integration between the interior and exterior spaces. The use of plants and greenery native to the area strengthen the dialogue between the complex and the natural environment.
The best possible sea views have been achieved by the positioning of the structures at an angle in order to utilize every aspect of the site while safeguarding the privacy of the occupants. Each unit in this complex has direct access to its own private garden and occupies a whole floor. Individual residences are on different levels with generous balconies which serve as extensions to the inside living areas. The private garden of each unit is accessible through the children’s bedrooms and leads directly to the communal swimming pool and beach, augmenting the sense of privacy and independence for the owners.
The building materials used in the project are concrete and metal. The natural incline of the site lends itself to fluidity and offers the advantage of spaces for generous terraces and the achievement of the two basic aims of the design - the consolidation of the interior and exterior spaces and the visual and practical functionality of each home, ensuring maximum autonomy and seclusion for its owner.
