Fidar Beach House it on a rugged outcrop of rock overlooking the Mediterranean in the region of Jbeil on the northern coast of Lebanon. A design project of the practice of Raed Abillama Architects, the 506 sq.m. vacation home comfortably accommodates the 5 member family and three guests in the adjoining, yet independent guest house.
The site restrictions place the structure a conservative distance of 10 meters from the shoreline, on a relatively flat surface of the rock between the coast and a small road. The entrance of the home leads directly from the road into the upper level where the living spaces are situated, ensuring that they enjoy the best of the outstanding sea views. Opening out directly onto a deck, formed by the roof of the lower level, and leading to the lap pool which reaches out towards the sea beyond.
The private quarters on the lower level are nestled into the rock unobtrusively becoming part of the natural landscape. The internal staircase which separates the spaces also incorporates the ventilation shaft of the structure. This stunning minimal home enjoys unobstructed monitored views to ensure that all aspects of the surrounding landscape and seascape are part of this elegant vacation home.
