The inspiration for this definitive collection, is the unfathomable blue of the Mediterranean, which has defied description by poets and writers throughout the realms of time. Its elusive hues hover between a variety of shades, from ultramarine to pure cobalt blue, tones of this transient colour have been captured and used together with a backdrop of sky blue. The historical connection between the culture of the people and the lands which surround the sea are seen through Graeco-Roman and Arabic motifs, mosaic and embroidery patterns, all of which are represented in the innovative designs of the collection. Each design bears the name of a destination in the Mediterranean, a celebration of a journey from the past to the present and future.
