The Grand Hotel Victoria Concept & SPA in Menaggio has timeless allure. Recently renovated and expanded, it embodies the art of hospitality, where history and tradition are clothed in comfort and contemporary innovation. Opulent stairways, chandeliers and rooms adorned with stuccos and gilt friezes all testify to the splendor of Italy’s Art Nouveau style. More than 100 years of irresistible charm convinced R Collection Hotels to preserve this showplace through skillful restoration work that imbued the majesty of the materials with contemporary shapes and functionality. The historic villa has maintained its allure – thanks to the high ceilings, vast windows and ornate stuccos – masterfully designed by Studio Da Pe, while donning a look that is well-suited to the new generations, blending contemporary design and vintage flair. Furnishing the lounge area are Happy settees and Happy-Hour armchairs that, along with Zefiro and Oliver coffee and side tables and Bangkok ottomans, create perfectly enjoyable conversation groups.
In the adjacent room, framed by spectacular windows that visually invite the outdoors in, the Soft Dream sofa upholstered in pale shades of ecru fabric, occupies pride of place. Completing the decor are the Zefiro coffee and side tables and gorgeous Bangkok ottomans.
Selected for the lounge-bar area were Dragonfly settees and Joyce armchairs and chairs paired with Fly coffee and side tables and Feel Good ottomans. Perfect for sitting back and relaxing while sipping a cocktail.
The dramatic modern wine cellar offers a selection of fine wines. To peruse them while deciding on the right pairing for the evening, one can sit in Sveva armchairs placed in the adjacent space for just that purpose.
Lastly, at the entrance to the spa is a Dragonfly upholstered bench with center backrest, designed to occupy the center of the room.
