In a prestigious and striking historical building in Milan, not far from the Sforza Castle, the new atelier of Conceria Superior is the result of renovation of spaces conducted by the international studio Aquilialberg Architects in a constant dialogue with the director of the company, Stefano Caponi.
The background for the project involved awareness of the increasingly ecosustainable approach of Conceria Superior, as well as the company’s historical identity.
In order to generate a striking, evocative and emotional image, the architectural translation of the firm’s essence.
The concept takes its cue directly from the leather used in the company’s work, its soft, undulated forms, its tensions in multiple directions. The project becomes a structure-installation in 100% recycled aluminium with a fragmented rhythm and fluid shape, embracing the past and present of Conceria Superior with an eye on the future.
