Bottega Veneta expands its retail footprint in the US with the opening of a two-story boutique on Chicago’s East Oak Street. The flagship offers the Italian house’s full range of products, including its latest perfume and fine jewelry collections, within an open-plan interior. With a 10-meter-high facade of glass, brass, and stone, the store provides an unobstructed street view into both floors. Inside, the design embraces Bottega Veneta’s heritage through a curated palette of Italian materials: cement tiling lines the floors and walls, while green Verde Saint-Denis marble distinguishes vitrines and display units. Bespoke walnut wood furniture, including tables, shelving, and soft leather seating woven in the brand’s signature Intreccio pattern, reinforces the reflects craftsmanship of the house.
Bottega Veneta debuts the new location with its pre-spring collection, featuring fresh iterations of the Andiamo family and the introduction of Ciao Ciao, a bag with a supple silhouette and hidden hook closure that allows for versatile styling. Its playful name—meaning both hello and goodbye in Italian—encapsulates the house’s spirit of movement and travel. In addition to its product offerings, the harmonious environment of the interior nods to the pared-down aesthetics of Italian modernism, bringing out the natural textures and tones of marble and wood. The space is designed to elevate the shopping experience with a luminous atmosphere. A sculptural wraparound staircase in walnut wood leads to an upper-level skylit lounge filled with greenery. This floor also houses a dedicated VIC area, offering a private dressing suite and consultation space for personalized services.
