TIME, the armchair designed by Alfredo Häberli, has received the Archiproducts Design Award 2019 in the category FURNITURE for its concept and design.The competition, conceived and promoted by the Archiproducts portal, rewards experimentation in product development, research and innovation, the ability to combine beauty and functionality, as well as an intelligent, creative use of materials and forms. Innovative, trailblazing products.The selection of 2019 winners was entrusted to an international jury of 40 experts, composed of representatives from renowned architectural firms, designers, photographers, journalists and creative directors from all over the world. Time was born of the gesture that the designer makes in giving shape to a shell characterised by great stylistic balance and unique ergonomic characteristics. The die-cutting process performed on the sheet, which consists of a sandwich of wood and composites, enables the parts to be fitted together seamlessly, and creates a highly ergonomic, enveloping design. With Time, Häberli experimented with the latest manufacturing techniques and found in Alias the ideal partner to give voice to a new, contemporary language, whereby highly innovative contents can coexist with a strong human component.
