Architecture

Located in the northern side of the Cyclades, Tinos is the third largest island of the island formation.  Known as the “Island of Madonna”, Tinos is the greatest center of pilgrimage in Greece. The residence is situated on a steep sloped rocky plot facing south, overlooking the Aegean Sea. 

Designed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, the pavilion will explore key issues related to the Expo theme of “Feeding the Planet” by reimagining a traditional Chinese Shitang (dining hall). The interior exhibition design is lead by Ralph Appelbaum and graphic design by Han Jiaying.

Hidden among the historical city of Leiria, Portugal, stands a family house designed by Contaminar Arquitetos with low environmental impact, but great design potential.

Located in the idyllic Natai Beach area of Phuket, Thaliland, is the Iniala Beach House, a 10 room luxury holiday destination situated in three villas and a penthouse.

A series of photographs depicting views of buildings make up the collection Morphogenesis by Pygmalion Karatzas of the practice of Karatzas Architecture + Photography. The originality and artistic merit of the collection earned the artist a place in the list of winners of the prestigious 2014 Architizer A+ Awards.

askarchitects was founded in 2006 by Aexandra Stratou and Stella konstantinidis. The two had worked together as foundining members of D.A.ST. arteam to create Desert Breath, a land art work in the desert of Egypt. They both studied architecture in different time periods at the Architectural Association in London.
