The Festival of Lights in Lyon, France is one of the largest urban events in the world. A tradition in honor of the Virgin Mary, the popular event is now in its 14th year and promises to be the most spectacular yet as hundreds of specialists descend on the city so as to prepare it for this looked forward to event.
Artists, performers and lighting designers will ensure that Lyon is transformed into a cultural wonderland with innovative light installations and performances on all scales from the smallest to the largest. The story of light is told in its most contemporary form and will be shown by using the latest in sophisticated technology in the hands of innovators.
This year, the newly developed South sector of the city will be highlighted by the installation of an illuminated trail inspired by Indian art. The Festival of Lights will run for 4 evenings from December 6th to the 9th.
