When designing the office space for a new business venture, a Model Agency in Valencia, Spain, the name Lexington Avenue gave a hint as to the direction the design theme was to take. The project was undertaken by Ana Hernandez Palacios of Studio +Quespacio interior design practice.
A professional urban look was in the client’s specification and this began by the white walls and floors of the two office spaces. A transparent wall containing the corporate logo between the two office spaces has an industrial curtain which allows natural lighting into the space with the option of privacy, taking into consideration the subject of the company. The bold black and yellow lines of the ceiling and wall are a familiar point of reference to the color of N.Y. City cabs and bestow a bright energy to the larger space, are more subtly employed in the smaller interview space.
The furnishings chosen for the office are from Spanish designers but items not widely available in Spain, contributing to the unique identity of the space, specifically the Uno Design by Javier Mariscal and the recycled paper stool, the eco-friendly Eiffel from RS Barcelona. The lighting elements chosen have a distinct urban feel and enhance the contemporary sophistication of the interior design in which to receive their young clients.
