British shoe designer Sophie Gittins set her youthful sights on a career in shoe design before studying at the prestigious Cordwainers, London College of Fashion where she graduated with First Class Honours. She went on to impress a host of top industry names and was selected as a finalist of Fashion Fringe Shoes by a judging panel including luminaries Manolo Blahnik, Colin McDowell and Rupert Sanderson.
Spurred on by this achievement Sophie Gittins set to work on launching her eponymous label in 2009. The brand has fast become known for its classic yet contemporary feminine aesthetic and has established itself as a firm favourite amongst the key fashion press.
Italian craftsmanship is at the core of the brand and combines meticulous attention to detail with the finest leathers and silks to create some seriously covetable footwear.
With inspirations ranging from the opulent imagery of Louise Dahl-Wolfe to the bright crisp palette of F.C.B. Cadell and the Scottish Colourists, each season’s influences culminate in shoes which embody timeless luxury.
