Alexa Adams and Flora Gill of Ohne Titel presented earlier in February their Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Ohne Titel is often inspired by contemporary art and this time it was Kasper Sonne's colour blocked tufted works that set the background.
The influence was evident throughout the colour palette—oxblood, navy, black, and white—and in the ultramodern knits that have become somewhat of an Ohne Titel special, a signature. “This is a really strong texture season,” Flora Gill said backstage post show. The two often experiment with different textures, especially when it comes to their ultra popular knits, but this season they took it further with a new half-cotton, half-synthetic Japanese textile that looks almost like feathers. It came into play in tops, skirts, and a jacket. "We started out calling that fabric waxy pony, but then it began to look more like feathers," said Alexa Adams. However the spine of this collection was surface consistency, whether in the tufted sleeves of a popcorn-knit sweater or the sparkling silver gleam of a slim thigh-high boot.
