Alber Elbaz stated before the show that “proportion is fashion” and that pretty much summarized what Lucas Osendrijver and himself presented for Lanvin Fall/Winter 2013 collection. It was all about volume, the baggiest pants and boxiest silhouettes that made it almost slack yet slender. This balance was kept all through the show where tailored looks were complete with sneakers, slim ties and small lapel shirts were accompanied by baggy trousers. Long time Lanvin devotees may find themselves cautious towards these ultra-forgiving new silhouettes however they’re sure to fall for this all-occasion luxury, a perfect blend of formal and casual.
