Sigurd Larsen is a Berlin based Danish architect working within the fields of design, art and architecture. He has a master degree from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in Copenhagen and previously been employed at OMA-Rem Koolhaas in New York, MVRDV in Rotterdam, Cobe Architects in Copenhagen and Topotek1 in Berlin.
Sigurd Larsen founded the design studio in 2009 and has recently realized projects for Voo Store in Berlin, K-MB Agentur fur Markenkommunikation GmbH in Berlin and Workaholic gallery and shop in Berlin. The work of the design studio combines the aesthetics of high quality materials with concepts focusing on functionality in complex spaces.
The Compact Cafe Table is created by a material originally developed for facades. This way the furniture carries the ability to sustain the impact of sun, frost and vandalism. They are designed for both interior and exterior use. For storage during night the furniture can be packed and chained together.
