Lebanese designer Elie Saab presented his romantic and fairytale-esque Haute Couture Collection FW 2011. In delicate tones of ivory, bronze and gray, Saab’s gowns were adorned with crystals and sequins which made the dramatic silhouettes and plunging necklines sparkle.
"We wanted to explore the fragility of femininity," said Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, who has collaborated with Saab for three collections. "These dresses have a diaphanous fairy like feel to them but remain empowering. It's always a challenge to relate Elie's inspirations and themes to his couture customers but he remains mindful of this at all times."
