The rooftop bar and eatery of the historic Gramercy Park Hotel has reopened after undergoing extensive renovations. Under the management of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, American classics are served throughout the day, from early morning breakfast to their late night award winning cocktails.
The newly decorated space follows the style of the hotel, summer and winter comfort is assured owing to the retractable roof which effortlessly glides over the indoor/outdoor space. The rooftop destination on the 17th floor offers some of the best views in Manhattan.
Custom made furniture and subtle lighting create a unique environment, enhanced by a collection of original contemporary works of art. Offering the intimacy of a private club, the space caters for small or large groups of patrons as well as a venue service for specific events.
What is unusual, is that a rooftop garden has been planted which is sustained by recycled water, and produces 50 or so types of vegetable and herbs which are incorporated into their ever changing menu or preserved to be used at a later date.
