As part of her Sublime Experiment project, award winning jewelry designer, Yong Joo Kim has chosen the funding platform, Kickstarter, to introduce and fund her new collection of handmade jewelry.
She terms her collection as an outward expression of inner beauty and the materials used are the familiar velcro hook and loop fasteners. She provokes the general public to appreciate the hidden beauty of an everyday object and asks them to become an active part in the experiment via the small business platform.
Her goal is to raise $10.000 in order to cover the expenses of the production of environmentally friendly packaging for the collection as well as custom tooling for the silver earring posts. Sponsors will of course receive items of jewelry for their contributions, according to the amount of their individual donations.
