Working and living in Madrid, Spain, photographer Emilio Jiménez shows through his works the subtle beauty of the female body. In a series of black and white photographs Jiménez captures the many nuances of the physical beauty. However, he also shows the incredible play of light and shadows, almost painting the floral motifs on models’ bodies.
The project, called ‘Anatomía natural, salvaje‘, was originally inspired by the great Brazilian photographer Sebastiao Salgado’s quote: “For eight years I had time to see, and to understand the most important thing: that I am as nature as a tortoise, as a tree, as a stone.” By these tender, delicate captures of the human body against the shadows of the plant, Jiménez wanted to convey the idea of our integrity with nature.
