London-based designer Michael Anastassiades created a lighting series titled “Arrangement” for design imprint Flos at this year’s Milan Design Week. The collection sees suspending chandeliers in the form of delicate geometric shapes, which can be connected together in multiple ways to create a chain or on its own as a simple, minimalist statement. As with all great designs, the design behind “Arrangement” transcends medium.
“I have always been fascinated with the parallel that exists between lighting and jewellery, starting from the simple fact of how each piece relates to the human scale: one is designed to be worn on the body whereas the other is made to decorate the space someone occupies,” commented Anastassiades.
