Mexico based design company, ROW Studio, were responsible for the project of designing the second branch of Wax Revolution, a new epilation chain.

The premises, the basement of a refurbished ‘50s building,  was previously used as a parking area, in the upmarket area of Polanco in Mexico City. It was found to be a dank, dark space, hardly visible from the street. This problem was dealt with by the construction of a faceted black steel frame which led from street level down to the entrance of the salon. On entering, a long black shiny reception desk backed by shelves displaying a range of products, stretches the length of the deceptively narrow space.

The whole basement area is an explosion of faceted panels of colours and optical illusion of width and height. Neon lights at 45 and 90 degree angles and individually colour coordinated cubicles make for a vibrant contemporary professional space.
