Gabriela Herman, the noted Brooklyn photographer has immortalized a group of bloggers in her latest exhibition, aptly named ‘Bloggers.’ Herman finds the online environment of Blogging a soothing one and an invaluable tool when resourcing information. Her initial contacts were photo bloggers and eventually she came in touch with media bloggers.

The series of portraits is a voyeuristic peek into the domain of people who feel the need to share their views with the rest of the online world. Herman compares blogging to graffiti art where people with unrecognized talent can express themselves without restraint. The collection has already been shared on countless sites and blogs, just as the photographer intended, thus adding an interactive sense to the project.

Herman says that she wished to bring their private worlds to the outside public, though she feels that blogging is more about rethinking the way we experience the world, how we live and spend our time. She also believes that her subjects are instrumental in delivering a platform for relationships both online and offline. According to current figures, she may be right, currently, WordPress alone is operating with more than 25 million accounts.
