The 3 level Penthouse of the newly completed Sandhurst Towers, Standton, Johannesburg, was designed by SAOTA + OKHA Interiors. It is truly amazing to find an urban living space in the centre of the city to radiate such an ambience of tranquility, comfort and security.
The 900sqm wall-less apartment complete with a garden, appears to be floating above the commercial centre in which it is located. Designer, Adam Court, created a home to reflect the personality of a modern 21st century family unit, incorporating comfort and natural materials such as timber and flamed granite with state of the art technology within the operational aspects of the residence, such as a ‘bespoke’ lighting system and numerous automated functions. Each living space possesses its own individual identity through the furnishings and color schemes chosen, while in the main black and white, color has been boldly used to introduce an element of the wild and exotic.
Artwork, sculpture and glassware ceramics are used to create a definitive mood of luxury in an otherwise minimalistic style, suggesting warmth and individuality.
